Tell me more about ThrowDown Jones ?

Throwdown Jones is one of the fastest-growing Rock N' Roll Party Bands in the Carolinas. Hailing from Morganton [NC], originally formed under the name Acoustafix in 2007, the band continues to thrive today, performing for large outdoor festivals, bike rallies and continuously packing out clubs, first in North Carolina and now branching out all across the US. This is no garage band here, kids. These seasoned and talented musicians are on a mission to create music the way it was meant to be: live, loud, and with no apologies.

MAP TO WAYNEO'S SILVER BULLET With a heavy emphasis on vocal harmonies, thick funk grooves and thumping electric numbers, Throwdown Jones pride themselves on twisting the average, boring, everyday songs into new, crowd-jumping show-stoppers, sure to keep the party kicking all the way to last call and beyond. "We keep it fun. Plain and simple." says Robb Pritchard, lead singer for the "Jones Gang" as they're affectionately known by their fans. "We're here to make sure the crowds have a good time... Everytime, and all the time."

Since then this rocketing locomotive of party boys has been steadily bouncing off the rails and the world of rock has taken heavy notice. Sought out and sharing the stage with the likes of legendary acts such as Boston, Hinder, Creed, former front man of Journey Steve Augeri, and front man Bret Michaels of Poison and the Bret Michaels Band just to name a few. Also armed with a debut single "Down" re-produced by Bret Michaels Band lead guitar player Pete Evick, this mega force of maverick musicians show no signs of stopping. Scott Rock, crowd-savy bassist for the band, hails from Hollywood, Florida, as well as young blood keys and synth player Sway [Orlando] while the other members of TDJ are all "homegrown". Greg Beaver, a Morganton native and one half of the Lead/Rhythm guitar duo for the band, compliments the songs with strong, soulful leads and bluesy interpretations of such random classics as "Purple Rain" by Prince and Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine". The second half of this dangerous stringed army is David Robinson of McDowell County, who, since 2007, has been laying down signature technical licks that his bandmates snicker and dub "torrents of dark electric love." Many have tried to emulate the formula, but TDJ's prolific self-promotion, out-of-the-ordinary song choices and polished, vocally-charged, interactive stage shows are not to be missed. And as each new year brings promises of better and brighter opportunities, the Jones Boys make no allusions to the reason for the band's growing success... "It's all about the fans" every member will tell you verbatim; "each one of them. It always has been". Words that ring true for these 'Men of Mayhem' every time without fail and the way they sweat on stage to show just that never ceases to amaze. So you are cordially invited to come witness the original monster in action! There is no substitute. There is no question. There is no DOUBT. This is THROWDOWN JONES. Come get a Little Bit.
